Trent Carlson

Trent Carlson has worked in the Canadian film industry for the past 21 years. He was a founding member at Anagram Pictures where he was involved in the production of over 20M worth of theatrical feature films. Trent’s directorial debut, The Delicate Art of Parking (2004), premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival and won the Golden Zenith Award for Best Film. It opened in theatres across Canada and was an instant box office hit, achieving the highest per screen average on opening weekend. Trent’s producing credits include Mile Zero (2001), Fido (2007) starring Carrie Anne Moss, Billy Connolly, Dylan Baker and Tim Blake Nelson, The Thaw (2009) starring Val Kilmer and Martha MacIsaac, and Donovan’s Echo (2012) starring Danny Glover and Bruce Greenwood. Currently Trent is president of Common Man Films where he is developing the comedy Confessions of a Sterile Man and the horror thriller The Valley, and in the packaging/financing stages on the comedy The Widows’ Club, and an epic/action adventure The Trigan Empire. Trent seeks out stories that add freshness to genre and have international appeal with high potential to perform in the global marketplace.
