Kristine Cofsky

Title: Writer/Co-Director, In No Particular Order

Kristine Cofsky made the move to Vancouver in 2002 from a small townon Vancouver Island, and since has been busy in the local independent film industry, both in front of and behind the camera. Kristine’s breakout role came in 2008, in the feature film When Life Was Good, directed by Terry Miles. Made on a shoestring budget and partly unscripted, the film had its North American premiere at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival. It went on to screen both Nationally and Internationally at various other festivals in ’08 and ’09, all with glowing reviews. Kristine was nominated for an ’09 Leo Award for her work in the film. The film enjoyed a long run on Superchannel, and can most recently be found on Netflix.

In the spring of 2008 Kristine teamed up with Miles again, for the feature film The Red Rooster. The film, which Kristine also co-produced, made its North American premiere in 2009 at the Vancouver International Film Festival. In January 2010, Kristine stepped behind the scenes to co-produce Miles’ next feature, A Night For Dying Tigers, starring Jennifer Beals, Gil Bellows, Kathleen Robertson, Tygh Runyan, and Lauren Lee Smith. The film premiered at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival, and screened at many more international film festivals following. In November 2011, she completed principal photography on her own first feature, In No Particular Order. The project, which Kristine wrote, produced, and starred in, was co-directed by herself and Miles, and will premiere at the Vancouver International Film Festival in the fall of 2012. Along with adding various acting credits to her resume, Kristine will next team up with Miles again to produce his next feature, Cinemanovel, starring Lauren Lee Smith and Jennifer Beals
