Katrin Bowen

Katrin Bowen is a Vancouver based director whose award-winning short films include Financially Strapped, Spitting Reality, Someone, Almost Forgot My Bones, Shane and Sandcastle.

Katrin made her first feature film Amazon Falls on a shoestring budget in 12 days. Amazon Falls went on to garner her the 2011 Artistic Achievement Award for direction and won the best debut feature at the 2011 Female Eye Film Festival.

Katrin just completed her second feature film the sexy and outrageously hilarious Random Acts of Romance that received Telefilm Canada production funding and stars a talented ensemble cast from Vancouver. She is in preproduction on two feature films, the semi autobiographical feature Off Course about her experiences modeling in Italy and Blackbird, a film about two DJs who try to go straight amidst a world of nightlife and crime.

Katrin is an Alumnae of the University of California at Berkeley, The Cannes Producing Intensive, Women in the Director’s Chair and the Berlinale Talent Campus.
